DIRECTOR'S:  
Because we didn’t have a great deal of money to make the film, despite the illustrious cast, we were obliged to recreate 1960’s London in Luxembourg. We achieved this by taking over the empty European Parliament building and adapting it to our uses, and shooting in the Luxembourg National Theatre which had originally been designed in 1953 as a Mosque. I am very proud of the look of the film. In order to give the feel of the period, we designed not just all the colour schemes but a lighting technique which we called “Wrap around lighting”, which meant giving shape and highlights to the lighting within a brightly lit environment...
