SYNOPSIS: 
September 1944. To a tiny farming community in the far northeast of Scotland comes an army lorry, filled with Italian POWs. Most are destined for a nearby camp, but three of them - Paolo, a young carpenter from Rome, Umberto, a teacher from Tuscany, and Luigi, an orange-seller from Naples - are to live in the bunkhouse of a row of farm workers' cottages, and work in the fields till the war ends....
